Delicious Fall Flavors – Food & Wine Pairings
October has started which means the fall season is in full swing. Pumpkin patches, apple picking, the crisp fall air and most of all fall food and wine pairings — what more could you want from a fall here in Wisconsin? This past weekend we had 50 amazing ladies join us for our Fall Blooms & Bouquets event where we did an in depth wine tasting of four of our best wines and paired them with our favorite fall flavors. Tomato, Basil + Parmesan Spaghetti paired with Cabernet Sauvignon
This recipe is one of our favorite (and somewhat unconventional) dishes to pair with our Reserve Selections Cabernet Sauvignon. Simple yet delicious flavors of the tomato sauce complimented with the fresh basil and shredded parmesan pairs compatibly with the rich flavors of the Cabernet. Follow the recipe below and try it for yourself! In many of our posts and all over our website you probably see us using the term “picnic platter” quite often. We realize that people who come here often know well what it is but for those who don’t we should probably break down what exactly you get when you order one of our picnic platters.
Wine Flights
A “wine flight” is another common term we use here at Staller Estate. It is one of our most popular options to get as you get to try 4 different wines all at once! A basic wine flight includes four, 1-ounce samples of our wine as well as a full glass of water.
Easter Dusting 2016!!
Easter Dusting In Review Our third annual Easter dusting egg hunt was a success! Over 150 eggs were hidden throughout retail store, sunroom, and gazebo areas. Each egg had a prize ranging from percentages of total purchases, free merchandise including food and wine, and free wine flights and picnic platters. We had roughly 125 eggs found and many very happy guests! Along with the egg hunt many guest stuck around to enjoy some wine and food on the beautiful day we had. This year’s Ice Wine harvest was the earliest on record here at Staller Estate, Nov 22. Along with the earliest Ice Wine harvest it was also the shortest window that we have ever had to harvest Ice Wine.
