On this past Saturday, we had the unique opportunity to see first-hand the creation of a new friendship. Two separate couples visited the estate with the same reason, to celebrate their anniversaries. Now, this happens quite often but what came out of their visit was a bit more uncommon. They each chose to sit out on our back patio, overlooking the north La Crescent vineyard, to enjoy their bottles of wine. Bob and Patti celebrating their anniversary of 22 years on June 25th choose a bottle of Lady in Red and Horizon Cuvee and Ross and Lauren, celebrating their 8th year anniversary on today, June 30th choose a bottle of Horizon Cuvee and Maiden Blush. They both ordered a picnic platter with Wisconsin cheese, fresh bread and charcuterie. Patti and Bob shared that they went out to the patio to find a spot to sit and relax but only to find Lauren and Ross “hogging” all the chairs around their table (their words). When they approached them to use two of the chairs is when the friendship started. They began talking and sharing about their kids and families, Bob and Patti with 4 kids with 4 grand kids and 1 on the way and Ross and Lauren with 3 kids. Soon their separate bottles of wine became shared bottles of wine, a couple pictures, and the rest was history. They even went to dinner together following their visit.

These are the unique memories that we enjoy being a part of here at Staller Estate Vineyard and Winery. These are the times that live up to our goal of Exquisite Wines and Outstanding Memories. We hope that Bob, Patti, Ross, and Lauren enjoyed their visit as much as we enjoyed seeing this friendship blossom and the stories that we enjoyed hearing.
